Cleveland is gearing up for an exciting stretch of major sporting events. The 2026 USA Boxing National Open will take place at Cleveland Public Auditorium, while the Cleveland Browns open their home schedule at Huntington Bank Field.
The 2026 USA Boxing National Open will take place at Cleveland Public Auditorium from September 26 through October 3, 2026. To accommodate event traffic and demand, dynamic parking rates will be in effect throughout the event:
- Saturday, September 26: $25
- Sunday, September 27: $40
- Monday, September 28 – Wednesday, September 30: $12
- Thursday, October 1: $40
- Friday, October 2: $12
- Saturday, October 3: $25
On Sunday, September 27, the Cleveland Browns take on the Carolina Panthers at Huntington Bank Field. They return to the field on Thursday, October 1, hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers and bringing plenty of energy and increased traffic to downtown Cleveland.
Road Closures
Beginning at 5 a.m. on September 27, and 9 p.m. on October 1:
- Erieside Avenue from E. 9th Street to W. 3rd Street (90m
Beginning at 10 a.m. on September 27, and 9 p.m. on October 1:
- Route 2 Eastbound Exit Ramp at E. 9th Street
- Route 2 Westbound Exit Ramp at E. 9th Street
- Route 2 Westbound Exit Ramp at W. 3rd Street
- Route 2 Eastbound Exit Ramp at W. 6th Street
- E. 9th Street at Lakeside Avenue heading Northbound
- Traffic allowed to Willard Parking Garage entrance
- W. 3rd Street at Lakeside Avenue heading Northbound
- Traffic allowed to the PIT Parking Lot, the County Lot, and all Parking Lots on Summit
Ramps remain closed until after the end of the game. All closure times depend on the volume of pedestrian traffic and can be adjusted as needed by the Cleveland Division of Police Bureau of Traffic. All decisions are made with public safety at top of mind.
Parking Restrictions
- St. Clair Avenue from E. 9th Street to W. 9th Street
- Lakeside Avenue from E. 9th Street to W. 9th Street
- W. 9th Street from Front Avenue to W. Superior Avenue
- W. 3rd Street from Summit to W. Superior Avenue
- E. 9th Street from Lakeside Avenue to Carnegie Avenue
- Parking restrictions are in effect in downtown Cleveland for each Browns home football game. For the October 1st game, parking restrictions are in place from 4 p.m. to midnight
- Look for signs attached to posts, poles and parking meters in those areas affected by the restrictions. Violators will be ticketed and towed if parked in violation. All associated fines and fees to have an automobile released must be paid at the One Stop Vehicle Impound Center located at 3040 Quigley Road.
Lot Operation and Fees
- For typical 1:00 p.m. weekend home games, parking is available at the Municipal Lot beginning at 5:00 a.m., with a standard rate of $50. Willard Garage is scheduled to open at 7:00 a.m., with a standard parking rate of $40.
- For weekday games, depending on kickoff time, the eastern portion of the lot will open at noon for game day vehicles while the western portion of the lot will not be open to game day parking until 5 p.m. These operating hours are subject to change throughout the season.
- Visitors will be charged for all spaces occupied.
- Motorists awaiting entry to the Muni Lot are reminded to be respectful of driveways and private property, to avoid disrupting traffic patterns, and to park legally.
- No vehicles (including motorhomes, RVs, buses, etc.) will be allowed in the previously mentioned lots before designated start times. Cleveland Police will not permit vehicles to line-up or stage on the Shoreway before game time.
The following rules and regulations are in effect for all tailgating activities in the Municipal Lot during Cleveland Browns home games:
- No flying of drones in the Muni Lot or within 5 miles of Burke
- No open pit fires
- Propane grills only (no charcoal)
- Saving spaces is prohibited
- You will be charged for all parking spaces that you occupy
- No in/out privileges
- All litter must be dispensed in trash containers
- Vandalism of any type will not be tolerated
- Crossing the Shoreway is prohibited
- No private latrines
- Lanes must remain clear of activity at all times
- No alcohol or marijuana consumption
- Violation of these rules may result in fines and ejection from the premises.
Alcohol and Safety
- Open containers, consumption of alcohol, and public intoxication are all prohibited inside the Muni Lot. If you plan to consume alcohol during any sporting event, always ensure that you have a designated driver. Always exercise caution and if you see something, please say something. Sanitation
- Portable restrooms, trash cans and dumpsters will be available. Private latrines are strictly prohibited. Please make sure all trash is disposed of properly before you leave any lot.
